Nonostante le grandi difficoltà di questi ultimi anni di pandemia finalmente ha recuperato un passo veloce e vincente la SSD UniMe, che sta sviluppando sport e servizi di livello sempre più alto, con numeri che stanno premiando gli sforzi quotidiani e di programmazione della società sportiva universitaria e dell’Ateneo di Messina.
A confermarlo è la presidente della SSD UniMe, la campionessa olimpionica Silvia Bosurgi, che sottolinea le difficoltà legate al particolare contesto storico ma ha anche le idee chiare sui progetti della società sportiva, resi possibili soprattutto grazie ad un’attenta programmazione ed alla passione ed abnegazione dei tanti operatori sportivi. “Abbiamo iniziato anche questa stagione con tanti interrogativi legati al Covid ed alle restrizioni che, nostro malgrado, in alcune occasioni durante questa stagione ci hanno obbligato a scelte impreviste ma necessarie per tutelare gli sportivi dei nostri centri ed i nostri collaboratori. Ciononostante siamo perfettamente in linea con gli obiettivi che abbiamo prefissato ad inizio stagione con il CDA della SSD e con l’Ateneo: aumentare proposte e partecipazione degli studenti universitari, crescere sia come numero che come qualità dei servizi e dare ampio risalto all’attività agonistica, in primis quella delle scuole sportive e giovanile. Questa prima parte di stagione ha già dimostrato che stiamo andando nella direzione giusta: i numeri di partecipanti alle nostre attività continuano a crescere e, rispettando rigorosamente le disposizioni in materia di prevenzione della pandemia, stiamo riempiendo le nostre strutture sportive, compresa la nuovissima palestra di Palazzo Mariani. Già diversi settori hanno iniziato con la loro attività agonistica con risultati più che soddisfacenti ed altri si affacceranno proprio nelle prossime settimane, con impegni dedicati sia alle squadre senior che al settore giovanile. Attenzione massima anche alle attività dedicate ai disabili: in questo senso è stata sempre particolare la sensibilità del CDA della SSD e dell’Ateneo, con il Magnifico Rettore in primis, nel realizzare e programmare iniziative e progetti in questo ambito, con alcune attività già sviluppate nel corso di questi mesi ed altre in procinto di prendere il via nelle prossime settimane”.
Non solo sport ma anche attenzione all’aspetto organizzativo e di progettazione, dunque, alla base di una ripartenza graduale ma al contempo di grande prospettiva per la SSD UniMe, con il recupero funzionale di tutte le strutture sportive a disposizione ed il rilancio con altri progetti ambiziosi. “Tutto ovviamente è migliorabile e programmiamo proprio con questo obiettivo – prosegue la Bosurgi – Il CDA opera costantemente per sviluppare attività e progetti a respiro più ampio possibile, che coinvolgano i diversi settori sportivi e che, con il sostegno della governance universitaria, puntano a far diventare gli Impianti sportivi dell’Ateneo, da quelli della Cittadella a quelli del Complesso Nebiolo, fino anche al polo di Equitazione ed alla Palestra di Palazzo Mariani, punti di riferimento non solo per la cittadinanza ma anche per le varie Federazioni Sportive Nazionali, le quali già nei mesi scorsi hanno dimostrato di apprezzare il nostro lavoro e con alcune delle quali stiamo lavorando per costruire delle relazioni stabili. Il 2022 siamo sicuri che sarà un anno di ulteriore sviluppo e, sperando anche in un definitivo attenuarsi della pandemia, di grande soddisfazione per tutto il nostro movimento sportivo”.
