Una prima parte di stagione decisamente importante quella appena trascorsa per il settore Ginnastica, sia artistica che ritmica, della SSD UniMe.
Avviata l’attività nella scorsa primavera, il comparto sportivo guidato dagli esperti Pippo Cannavò e Gina Berescu, figure di primissimo livello nel panorama della ginnastica nazionale, ha messo in moto una macchina sportiva organizzatissima che già in questa prima parte di stagione sta registrando risultati eccellenti.
Al netto delle difficoltà legate alla pandemia, che per quanto riguarda le competizioni federali hanno consentito al club universitario di affacciarsi solo alle gare individuali, il settore ad oggi conta quasi 60 atleti impegnati in attività agonistiche e ben 150 iscritti complessivi, interessati a vario titolo alle diverse attività che vanno da quella di avviamento per i più piccoli (la babygym per bambini e bambine dai 4 ai 6 anni) fino alla scuola sportiva ed al settore agonistico in 3 diverse sezioni: ginnastica artistica femminile, ginnastica artistica maschile e ginnastica ritmica.
Una crescita di partecipazione decisamente importante, dunque, che va di pari passo con organizzazione e programmazione sempre più strutturate e dettagliate, puntando sull’apporto decisivo dei tecnici Francesco Villari, Adriana D’Italia, Erika Calabrò ed Illiana Kuznetcova (tecnico dedicato alla sezione ritmica), i quali sviluppano al meglio, insieme a Cannavò ed alla Berescu, un lavoro dedicato alla crescita dell’attività di base, per arrivare fino a quella agonistica.
Attività favorite, ovviamente, anche dalla possibilità di poter usufruire del PalaGym della Cittadella Sportiva Universitaria: un Impianto completo e funzionale per poter svolgere al meglio tutte le attività di preparazione ed allenamento, oltre ad essere interessato in maniera sempre più frequente dalle attività della Federazione Ginnastica d’Italia.
Passo svelto e deciso, quindi, per la Ginnastica targata SSD UniMe che adesso punto l’obiettivo di riprendere tutte le competizioni federali, non solo individuali ma anche a squadre, soprattutto con il settore silver, oltre a sviluppare con maggiore intensità le attività del settore gold.
